Overheads are such a huge part of doubles. We tend to put way too much pressure on ourselves to at least get the ball back down on the court and/or end the point.
They key to a really good overhead? Choose a different target. Rather than thinking that your target is a spot on the court over there, think more about a certain height over the top of the net as your target.
First of all, your target is much closer to you - it feels more tangible - but you'll be more consistent with good depth placement rather than trying to hit the ball down on their court.
